Our most casual clambake menu includes banquet tables covered in butcher's paper, food served on high quality paperware and Samsonite chairs. More elegant affairs include reception hours and food served on china with linen and silver service.
Reception hours may feature passed hors d'oeuvres, a staffed chowder bar and fresh fruit, international and domestic cheese & cracker station. Chowder Bars are a popular option with our clear broth Rhode Island Quahog Chowder which is made from a family recipe that has been handed down through several generations. Raw Bars with a professional shucker featuring oysters, cocktail shrimp and little necks on the half shell are available in addition to shellfish being passed by servers.
We offer both sit down dinner service and buffets. Dinner service for clambakes is three or four courses. The clambake includes steamed clams and mussels with drawn butter, hot brown bread, 1 1/4 lb. lobster, corn on the cob, red bliss potato, sausage, onion and fish. A 12 ounce strip steak may be substituted for the lobster and vegetarian dishes are available upon request. In addition to the traditional clambake menu, a salad of mixed greens and barbecued chicken is available.
The opening of the clambake is announced with the ringing of the bell. Guests are invited out of the tent to see layers of canvas peeled away from the pile they've seen steaming on the ground the last few hours. A succulent, smoky aroma fills the air as bright, red lobsters and other treats are unveiled.
In addition to clambakes, lobster boils and buffets we offer traditional catering selections for brunches, cookouts, holiday parties and stationed buffets such as pasta and carving stations. Our Rhode Island Mixed Grill ~ filets of tenderloin and lobster is also very popular.

We frequently travel to neighboring Connecticut and Massachusetts to cater events.
Take-Out Clambakes are a popular option for groups who are sailing on the 12 Meters or interested in a very casual lunch or dinner. We prepare the clambake dinners at our facility and can deliver it to a location in Newport with 24 hour notice. The dinners are hot & fully cooked. They are packed in disposable containers buffet style or individually. Box lunches of Lobster Salad (as well as more traditional sandwiches) are also available.
